NEW Cystatin C Immunoparticles (ERM-DA471/IFCC Standardised)
During the past 10-15 years, Dako has played a key role in introducing Cystatin C to the market and establishing it as a superior marker of kidney function. Dako continues to improve its products to meet the needs of a changing market, and we are pleased to tell you that the new generation Dako Cystatin C assay, for turbidimetry is now available.
This goes hand-in-hand with the decision taken by the IFCC Working Group on Standardization of Cystatin C to develop a new international reference material for Cystatin C, called ERM-DA471/IFCC. The new reference material was released in June 2010 and the goal is to calibrate all Cystatin C assays to a single reference. This will standardize Cystatin C results and harmonize the calculation of estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) worldwide.
Cystatin C is an early and reliable marker for the estimation of GFR
- The new generation Dako Cystatin C assay is standardised against the new reference material ERM-DA471/IFCC offering outstanding precision and excellent linearity
- Specific analyser applications are available for the Modular P and Hitachi 917
- General guidance notes are available for setting up the assay on other analysers
- Serum or plasma samples can be used
- The measuring range is from 0.4 to 7.5 mg/l
