Salicylate intoxication often occurs in children due to its accessibility, in chronic patients who have regular need for medication and in patients who are taking a combination of prescription and non-prescription dosages. Overdose of salicylate is also associated with suicide attempts.

The Salicylate Liqui-UV^® is an enzymatic method for the quantification of salicylate.

Stat results are possible as the assay reaction time is less than 10 minutes
The kit uses liquid stable, ready to use reagents for ease of use
