Registration

To comply with the EU Directive and UK regulations on WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment), Inverness Medical UK has selected Valpak WEEE compliance Scheme our Producer Number WEE/KD0044SY/PRO

Collection

The customer support department at Inverness Medical UK manages collection, handling, and treatment of WEEE. Questions relating to collection should be directed to Customer Support by completing the enquiry form available here.

Please ensure you provide details of what is to be collected, Instrument Model name, serial number, address, postcode, and confirmation that the equipment is safe for collection and processing (i.e., it has been decontaminated). The licensed contractor that used by Inverness Medical UK will provide documentation for the collection.

Contaminated Material

End users are responsible for the decontamination of equipment and for making it safe before collection. A declaration of decontamination will be required. Infected or otherwise contaminated equipment that cannot easily be made safe for collection and processing is outside the WEEE regulations, and its disposal is the responsibility of the end user.
