The LDX system delivers the ability to measure a complete lipid profile and glucose, ALT, AST, and hs-CRP and it does it all in 5 minutes per test cassette (6 minutes for hs-CRP).

Why use the LDX instrument from Alere?

• Four of the six case studies listed on the DH Vascular Checks website have used the LDX.
• The LDX is the instrument of choice for DH Familial Hyperlipidaemia pilot study at Wolfson Institute, Flora Test the Nations Hearts, and Have a Heart Paisley, BHF Screening programmes – a total of over 120,000 vascular risk assessments performed.
The LDX is certified for Total Cholesterol and HDL-Cholesterol by the CDC’s Cholesterol Reference Method Laboratory Network – “These results confirm that accuracy and reproducibility of a point-of-care lipid profile method is comparable to centralized laboratory testing.”
• Positive evaluations from the UK MHRA (report MHRA/95/23) and many UK labs such as Glasgow Royal, St Georges, Guys, Cardiff etc.
• Wolfson EQA extra-laboratory cholesterol assays: 237 LDX instruments are currently registered and show consistently good results
