Anticoagulation monitoring at home or in the clinic
Patients are increasingly keen to accept more responsibility for their
own healthcare, particularly those with long-term conditions that require
regular monitoring. Our INRatio® 2 monitoring system has been developed to improve the quality of life of patients taking oral anticoagulants by making it easier and more convenient to access
testing. Community or supervised home monitoring provides the opportunity for more regular testing, improving the control of anticoagulant therapy and eliminating the need for time-consuming
hospital visits.
The Alere™ INRatio 2 monitor brings laboratory quality results to the point of care environment. Designed to be easy to use by healthcare professionals or patients, the portable handheld device provides reliable PT/INR test results in just 60 seconds.
More frequent testing helps to keep anticoagulant therapy under better
control, reducing the chance of bleeding or complications and by eliminating the wait for results, dosages can be adjusted immediately.
INRatio 2 needs just one drop of blood from a finger prick sample and no external quality control is required as each test strip is individually controlled. Easy to follow icons guide the operator through the simple test procedure andm results are clearly displayed on the large LCD screen.
