Alere Pathology Kitchen Show at IBMS Congress 2011
Many thanks to those that took the time to complete one of our “Changes in Pathology Review” forms at the 2011 IBMS Congress. We received an amazing number of responses with over 700 delegates completing a form and a lot more that actually witnessed the smoothie making competition in the Alere Pathology Kitchen Show.
The “Alere Pathology Kitchen Show” drew large crowds and was performed to packed audiences several times each day.
Members of the Alere team donned there chef whites and entered the kitchen alongside delegate contestants who volunteered (or in some cases were volunteered by others!) to take part in our “Smoothie Making Challenge”.
Alere Ltd, Commercial Manager, Stuart Cassey explained “Whilst the Alere Pathology Kitchen Show was devised to inject some light entertainment into the exhibition, there was a strong link with the company’s approach of looking at traditional pathology services in a different way.
We used the smoothie making as a representation of the essential ingredients needed to ensure a smooth transition of testing into decentralised environments.
