At the 2011 Biomedical Science Congress Alere conducted market research and analysed the views of over 700 laboratory based scientists.

We asked delegates could the implementation of Pathway B bring benefits to your hospital? Find the results below.

Of the 675 people that anwswered the question 95% said that Pathway B using the Alere Pima CD4 analyser could bring benefits to their hospital.

Also 83 of those asked for copies of publications relating to that pathway.

“The point of care CD4 provides a result in 20 minutes, is highly correlated with the laboratory CD4 tests and performed very well in identifying individuals requiring antiretroviral therapy. It was highly acceptable among those tested, may facilitate service delivery in a variety of patient-centred settings/times and offers rapid assessment of the newly diagnosed HIV patient.”
